First Writer post of the new year!

It’s 2012, know what that means?  Officially I’m back in the office, a little later than I wanted but computer problems kept me down, then I didn’t sleep, typical bullshit.  Anyway, I’m back.  And looking forward to a great year coming up.

The Appearances page has been updated with where I’ll be though there are two cons not listed I might appear at if things work out.  I have a tendency to get my way so we’ll see.

I’m excited about my upcoming release from Decadent Publishing “The Playground” which still has a BDSM theme but I’m lightening the bondage content and going more towards DIY bondage.  The popularity of bondage stories demands I continue to write them, and since I actually LIKE them, we’re good with that!  But instead of taking the reader into a journey laced with leather and iron, I thought a more subtle approach in my bondage stories would be appreciated. Kind of a “take you there and then let you do it” approach!

There is a few Menage stories I intend to write, based on some older movies that stirred ideas I had, but we’ll see. Hell, I might even resurrect my Nights of Lust series and see if it’s got any saleability despite vampire romances being flooded.  I’ll talk more about that later. Hell I may even just share the first few chapters here to see what ya’ll think.
This year promises to be a busy one as I get back in the swing of things.  I’m excited, about upcoming releases, new romances and a new, even more productive year.  What are you waiting for, release wise?

New cover art!

If you remember my previous post about story sales, you know that I sold a story to Decadent Publishing!  The Playground (release date TBD but probably sometime in January or February of 2012) is the story I wrote detailing the exploits of a man who found his long lost love working in a Las Vegas hotel.  Using the infamous 1NightStand matchmaking service, he sets up a date with her and arranges to have her meet him on his terms at a public, semi secluded playground in a park.

He has the one chance to convince her that they should be together.  Can he?  Shelly is quite lonely and fed up with her life, but the only man who ever loved her was weird, insisting that she through away her traditional viewpoint of the world and play by his rules.  Those rules involved chains and whips and the oh so sensual tone of his commanding voice…

It’s pretty damn good!  I’m looking forward to releasing this story. On the heels of it are two more pieces I’m aiming for, thanks to the encouragement of Valerie Mann and Kate Richards.

The stories are 10k at the most though my next one might push 12k.  We’ll see.  I’m having a lot of fun rekindling the inspiration and muse through all the reading I’ve been doing, plus the editing I do for Sizzler Editions.  And new music doesn’t hurt either ;)

Interracial Vampire Erotica by Sascha IllyvichVampires have been a staple in erotic fiction for the last ten years.  When Sherrilyn Kenyon said nobody was buying paranormal that was  a half truth.  The facts were that e-book authors were selling paranormal and couldn’t write it fast enough.  Thanks to e-books, some of the hottest careers have been launched (mine included!) because the authors jumped on a popular trend.

Dark Traders was a stab for me at the intro of this genre despite the fact that I’ve been known as a BDSM author, writing stories of sexy girls captured, bound and tortured sexually until they screamed their orgasms and begged to be at their masters’ feet.

I wanted something different as an author.  Again with the concept, what if vampires controlled the stock market?

Miranda Raven isn’t just any heroine.  She’s a bitter, burned vampire with a score to settle with the man who turned her.  Sexy hitman Jet.  He’d only been doing his job and his former employers discovered that not only was she still alive, but she was planning on taking down X Corp.  Something about vampires having morals.

But her only problem is that she can’t keep her fingers off Jet.

And he has no problem with that.  He’s a badass.  Think Brock Sampson from Venture Brothers. Think The Rock in any movie he’s been in where he wasn’t a chump.  Think Vin Diesel in Fast and Furious or XXX.

A real badass.
